Financial Information Systems Management

 Functional Responsibilities

 

  1. Provide input into the formulation of FM policies and controls
  2. Ensure maintenance of all accounts at the national level including GOG funds,  self-generated funds and project funds.
  3. Manage the Financial Information Systems Department
  4. Prepare monthly and annual accounts with the Reporting and Analysis Department, budgets and forecasts as agreed with Director , Finance
  5. Ensure compliance with GHS accounting procedures, policies and standards
  6. Oversee debtor control
  7. Assist in development of information systems to enhance financial information in the GHS
  8. Oversee the computerized financial management systems introduced by government
  9. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Director, Finance from time to time
  10. Provide technical support on FIS to region and districts BMCs

Deputy Director

Okan Regina holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in addition to her professional certification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. (ICA GH)

She has interest in reviewing operational cost build up and applying appropriate cost reduction strategies.

Very efficient in analyzing financial figures and has the ability to develop and implement Accounting Systems.

She has served the Ghana health Service for over seventeen years rising from the District Directorate through the region and currently the Deputy Director of Finance in charge of Financial Information Systems Management.
