Warehousing:
To ensure regular availability of health commodities delivered to health institutions at affordable prices, capable of responding to the total commodity requirement and as a centre of excellence using best practices in storage and distribution of quality, safe and efficacious health commodities.


Functional responsibilities

• Control port clearance of commodities.

• Monitor and appraise contracts awarded.

• Assist in developing proposals for training of supply logistics and warehousing support.

• Provide support for in-service training and other workshops

• Quantify and control inventory.

• Monitor the inflow of health sector commodities procured offshore.

• Assist in trade finance (letters of credits, bill of exchange etc)

• Seeking for exemptions from payment of taxes, destination Inspection, Import Duties and other Port Levies.

• Securing of Food and Drugs Boards Import Permit on related commodities for the health sector.

• Expedite payment of contracts awarded.

• Expedite procurement, logistics and warehousing.
